Cloth, a little sunned along the edges; in illustrated dust jacket with some light scuffing along the edges (VG+ in mylar). The "Special Texas Edition," signed by Goodwyn. Additionally inscribed by Ralph W. Yarborough on the FFEP: "For Two Stalwart Democrats who have fought for better government for Texas in our time -- and have written their plan on paper -- with warmest appreciation, Ralph W. Yarborough / Austin, Texas, Dec. 1958." Richard W. Yarborough (1903-1996) enjoyed a long legal and judicial career as a Texas congressman and "The People's Senator." It's likely that one of the "stalwart democrats" Yarborough has inscribed this volume to is Creekmore Fath -- as it includes a laid-in slip of Fath's personal stationery (blank), and this item was purchased with a group of books inscribed by Yarborough to Fath. A nice association copy. Richard W. Yarborough (1903-1996) enjoyed a long legal and judicial career as a Texas congressman and "The People's Senator," and Creekmore Fath was an Austin lawyer and, indeed, a stalwart Democratic activist.
