VG: backstrip mildly faded but still legible, fraying to the foot and head of same but quite bearable, boards clean, lightly scuffed, corners mildly bumped; edges generally clean, a few spots to the top and bottom; hinges creaky, but quite solid for the time being; 1924 ownership inscription to the second leaf; text and illustrations collated and complete, illustrations foxed at the edges and facing pages darkened by offsetting from the plates, tissue guards extant.
