Quarto. 335pp. Uncut. Original blue cloth with gold stamped decoration on front board. Decorative endpapers. Half title-page inscribed and signed by the author. Frontispiece. Fascinating book from Churchward who stated that he became friendly with a Hindu priest during a famine in India in the nineteenth century, and the priest led him to a collection of ancient clay tablets hidden in a cave and taught him a language called Naacal, by which the tablets could be deciphered. This book is profusely illustrated with numerous b/w in-text illustrations and b/w reproductions of photographic plates. Some edge wear on binding with spine and edges of boards sunned. Tail of spine and lower corners slightly rubbed. Binding in overall fair, interior in very good condition. Bookseller Inventory #
