About this Item

Benchmark book, detailling a new approach to heavier than air flight. Koch's ideas revolve on a new concept in propeller, which is sort of like a Henson type aerostat with two ferris wheel shaped propellers pointed forward, where the feris wheel cars are aerofoils which rachet to catch upward and forward propulsion, almost like a swimmer, then retract to limit drag, rather elegant thinking. Cond is generally vg, note now flat corner bends to fnt cvr, slight offsetting to title page fm the aeronautical book plate (Wm Gerhardand bookseller's tag, and a taped strengthener to the spine, which this gentleman routinely did even to new books. Otherwise, the book is in nf condition, especially the three fold out prints, which are in fine state, uncracked, unblemished condition. Bookseller Inventory # 000113
