Synopsis: THE LOTUS BOOK - A complete History of Lotus Cars, 50th anniversary special.
THE LOTUS BOOK combines unique new photographic material with archive photographs, period brochures, contemporary advertisments, accurate technical data and concise histories of every type of Lotus car ever made.
From the Mark1 trials car through some of the most innovative, controversial and technically advanced competition cars the world has ever seen, to the very latest road going supercars such as the type115, they are all here with high quality color photography recording each and every Lotus design built from 1948 to 1999.
About the Author: A passionate enthusiast for Lotus and a recognised authority on the Marque, William Taylor studied photography at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and, after working in Bristol for two years, moved to London in 1983. For fifteen years he has been a photographer working primarily with advertising agencies, publishers and the media from his studio in London's West End.
THE LOTUS BOOK is the culmination of four years work, much of it spent locating some of the rarest cars in order that they could be photographed for this publication.
Over the years William has owned, restored and competed in several different Lotus cars, most recently a Lotus Formula Junior.
