Three quarto volumes in paper wraps. Vol. 1: 32 pp. + XVI pp. of plates portraying b/w facsimile photographs of important Israeli archaeological finds. Vol. 2: 32 pp. + XVI pp. of plates portraying b/w facsimile photographs of important Israeli archaeological finds. Vol. 3: 72 pp. + XV pp. of plates with similar photographs. Vol. 2 is inscribed on front endpaper by E. L. Sukenik in Hebrew. Vol. 3 has a thick decorative endpaper with a color facsimile photograph and an insert stating "With the Compliments of the Department of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem" and underneath the print in pen stating "and of M. Ari. Yonah". All three volumes have the signature of Harry M. Orlinsky, the influential archaeological, Semitic and Judaic scholar on front covers. All volumes are profusely illustrated throughout with b/w sketches, portraits, diagrams and other technical and historical data. Age wear to wraps, otherwise books are in good condition.
