Pp. 355; 44 full plate black-and-white photo-plates, 48 text-figures. Publisher's original one-quarter tan cloth with spine lettered in Chinese and with title neatly printed in English, over paper-covered boards lettered in Chinese in dark brown characters, 4to (315 x 235 mm). Palaeontologia Sinica, whole number 145, new series B, no. 9. Text is bilingual in both Chinese and English. The author undertook geological investigations in Kwangsi (Guangxi) in 1940 to 1944. During this survey, Chao Kingkoo and colleagues discovered fossil localities in the Triassic rocks in the western part of that province. These localities produced a fauna that was almost exclusively ammonoid -- it was not only rich in individuals but also rich in genera and species. No ownership marks. A few bumps to the other corners, light soiling to the bottom margin of the front board; a tight and clean copy in very good condition. Bookseller Inventory #

This monograph describes many new ammonoid genera and species. The volume is warmly inscribed in English on the front endpaper: "To Prof. Glenister, B.
