This volume gathers together for the first time, all the original prints produced by Marjorie Tomchuk. The stylistic changes accompanied by the use of various techniques move through woodblock prints to etchings to a self-discovered technique of deep embossing on handmade paper. This book contains a brief biography and a review of her printmaking techniques, followed by a catalogue raisonne ilustrating 257 prints, eighteen of which are in full color. By aquainting us with a notoable body of work this book brings up a renewed appreciation for a truley creative artist. As an artist-printmaker for more than 27 years, Marjorie Tomchuk has won numerous awards and gained international recognition. In the past 10 years her creative endeavours have evolved into a dramatically fre style, combining innovation, imagination and superb technical skill. All this individual expression is witnessed in her most recent unique pieces and multiples rendered on distinctive artist-made paper. Born in Candada and educated in the United States, Japan, and Europe, Mis Tochuk has travelled the world extensively gathering impressions for user in her art. Her limited edition prints are all created in her private studio in New Canaan, Connecticut.
