About this Item

This volume collects two earlier novels--The Patient in Room 18 and While the Patient Slept. A very good copy (front hinge starting, lightly soiled boards, small fraying spots on the top and bottom edges). This copy has a long, personal inscription to novelist Gladys Taber: "With thanks for the great pleasure your stories have given me. Also thanks for introducing me to your ghost: as I hope you will. Very best to you and Jill. Mignon S. Eberhart". Eberhart signed association copies are distinctly uncommon. Bookseller Inventory # 013280
