Vintage original 11 x 14" (28 x 35 cm.) lobby card, USA. Evelyn Brent, Robert Ames, Ivan Linow, Josephine Dunn, Edwards Davis, dir: John S. Robertson; Columbia. Evelyn Brent plays a girl who is sad to learn that her millionaire lover has left his estate to his nephew. She goes to work at his San Francisco Barbary Coast mission, not revealing her identity to him. They fall in love, much to the jealousy of his fiancee. They marry, but not until after does he realize her as the girl who had wished for the uncle's fortune. He leaves her, but true love prevails in the end when she saves his life. Pre-Code melodrama from the hand of Jo Swerling. Scene here is in the mission house with Evelyn Brent and Robert Ames. Richly-colored card has a slight crease at the top left corner, a mended 1" (2.5 cm.) tear at the top center of the card which goes into the top background, and the bottom left and top right corners are chipped.
