Raro manoscritto birmano su sei foglie di palma legate insieme. Su un lato delle foglie un disegno inciso ripassato ad inchiostro che mostra due vignette: il Buddha Shakiamuni in meditazione sotto l albero della Bodhi circondato dai Guardiani. Nella seconda vignetta circondato da animali (topo, drago, tigre, elefante). Decorazioni floreali. Al verso un antico manoscritto in lingua Pali birmano nella sua forma arrotondata, un probabile commentario ai Sutra. La copertina sono due tavole di legno dipinte e decorate in oro e rosso in stile tradizionale. Orientativamente della seconda metà dell ottocento o inizi novecento. Dimensione chiuso cm 5,5x15 Dimensioni aperto cm 15,5x29. Scarce manuscript from Birmania on six palm leafs bound together. On one side of the leaf an engraved drawing with ink showing two vignettes: Buddha Shakiamuni in meditation position under the Bodhi tree surrounded by Guardians. In the second vignette Buddha Shakiamuni surrounded by animals (mouse, dragon, tiger, elephant). Flower decorations In the verso an antique manuscript in Birman Pali language in its rounded form. The text is a probable commentary to Sutra. The cover is in painted and decorated wood in red and gold in traditional style.
