Two volumes in one. SCARCE. Published 1 year after the death of Princess Charlotte. Subtitle continues: "Containing Numerous Anecdotes of Her Early Life; An Account of Her Happy Union with Prince Leopold; Her Residence at Claremont; Her Last Illness, and Sudden and Lamented Death; a Description of the Funeral Ceremonies; and A Collection of Characters, Selected from the Most Elegant and Well-Written Eulogies that Have Appeared: With A Variety of Other Particulars, Highly Interesting to Every British Subject." Full leather boards with embossed illustrations on the borders and spine. Gilt bands and title on spine. Boards are rubbed with edge and spine wear, but leather is smooth and binding is tight and square. Light to moderate oxidation to pages; occasional soiling on front few pages. Previous owner's name on endpages. Frontispiece has soiling to corners, but illustration of Princess Charlotte is untouched. The first contents page is present, but has been misbound. Also included in the book is a 136pg "A Sacred Memorial of Her Late Royal Highness Charlotte Augusta, Prince of Wales, and of Saxe-Coburg Saalfeld; Being Extracts from Upwards of One Hundred and Twenty Sermons Preached on the Day of Her Interment, by the Most Eminient Divines of all Denominations.
