Red morocco binding, gilt lettering on spine, ruled gilt on cover, floral gilt inner dentelle, 5 raised bands, gilt emblems in compartments, marbled end papers, illustrated in color- 18 colored aquatint plates- drawn and etched by Henry Alken and aquatinted by E. Duncan. Condition of the book is VERY GOOD+: light wear overall to spine and covers, lower spine end a bit more worn to edges, upper corners bent, leather still supple, pages and illustrations clean, binding tight. NOTE: this volume was rebound by Reviere, possibly late 1890s, with original cloth covers and spine on pages in rear.
