He received smicha from a number of rabbis in the provinces of Kovno and Vilna and practiced as a rabbi in Dershunisok, Kovno from 1867 to 1868. He later emigrated to the U. S. Where he developed a system of natural theology based on the Mosaic, and the rabbinic and talmudic law as natural theology (EJ) . SUBJECTS: God-theology.
