A transitional story, it shows Sughrue's transformation from private detective into a Montana badass, and also explains the reason behind traveling south of the border. The story was later anthologized in Otto Penzler's "Murder and Obsession" (1999). Easily the most limited volume in Crumley's body of work. Bookseller Inventory #
