A fine copy of a quite uncommon publication which, despite its unfortunate brevity, manages to offer an interesting historical and current (to 1986) survey of blacksmithing in Mississippi. Features a Preface by Lauren Rogers Museum of Art Director Estill Curtis Pennington, an Introduction, and an essay "Blacksmithing in Mississippi" on pages 2-4. B/w photographs throughout including five by noted Columbus, Mississippi photographer Birney Imes on pages 11-15 of ornamental blacksmith work by Roger Clifton McRee.
