The first separate edition of this spurious pseudoplatonic text attributed by some to Xenocrates (396-314 BC), a pupil of Plato, friend of Aristotle, and scholarch of the Academy from 339-314, and by others to Aeschines Socraticus (Xenocrates' master before he attached himself to Plato). It first appeared in the Aldine Iamblichus of 1497 and subsequently in many editions of the DELLA RELIGIONE CHRISTIANA by Marsiglio Ficino (this little work's translator), and in most of Plato's works where he is styled Axiochus.
