Small 4to. (23 cm.) unpaged [ca. 100p]. Illustrated with nine full-page black and white drawings, plus chapter heading drawings and tail pieces by Eleanor M. Tucker. Cream colored paper over boards with a large red and white candy cane on the front cover and a vignette in green, red, brown, and white of a bridge over a moat with a castle in the background. Letters in red and brown. Additional cover title as follows: A Fairy Story For Young Folks. Very minor wear to extremities, a couple of minor abrasions at the very bottom of the spine, paper on boards clean, vignette bright, transfer to both front and rear endpapers (from boards?), all illustrations in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal makings. In remarkable condition given such fragile paper covered boards and 100 years old! Eleanor M. Tucker did her M.A. Thesis at Smith College in 1936. She is also the author of CHRISTMAS IN CALIFORNIA (Sierra Madre, 1924) and SONGS IN WAR-TIME FOR "OUR BOYS" (1941-1945?). OCLC shows only one holding library, UCLA. Bookseller Inventory # 008038
