Hardback book bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt title and gilt emblem of United States Navy Bureau of Ordnance on the front and gilt title on the spine, end pages have pictures of USA and Soviet Union weapons. The book was originally classified as "Confidential - Security Information", this was gilt stamped on the cover . The book was later downgraded and has stamps that state "Down, Grade - 10 Unclassified, Auth - FPSO Ltr, SC.1.14, Date - 9, 22 -61" on end pages and first title page. The book has light markings where this classification notice on the cover was covered with the reduced classification notice, that has now been removed. . Other than the internal stamps and former owner's name inside front and back covers, there are no other marks on this tight and clean book. This book covers the weapon development in the Soviet Union and Her satellites. The book covers the background of Soviet arms development and the various types and manufacturers. Book has over 150 illustrations of the weapons. 215 pages including the Index. Bookseller Inventory # 012541
