Synopsis: Maddie McGoggle is an eight year old girl who is forced to deal with the hardships of growing up and being picked on and teased because of her openness about her own unique experiences on the farm where she lives with her mother, her father, and older brother Danny. No one believes the fantastic tales she tells about the artistic presentations she observes being performed by the farm animals and the family cat and dog. She knows their secrets. About the Author: Cheryl Lyons was born in Jamaica, West Indies. At age sixteen she immigrated to the United States. She lived in New York for five years and attended school there. She moved to Connecticut to attend college. She graduated from Southern Connecticut University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in special education. She received a Master of Arts degree, also in special education from Fairfield University. She has taught special needs students at the elementary level, for the past thirty-five years in the Norwalk Public School District in Connecticut. She lives in Norwalk and has always wanted to write children's books.
