About this Item

5th Edition. A nice vintage trade publication from the Cutler-Hammer Manufacturing Company. With sections titled “The Next Big Improvement in Automobiles,” “A Car Your Wife Can Drive,” “Gear Shifting Made Easy,” “The Company Back of the Magnetic Shift,” and “How the Magnetic Gear Shift Operates.” Softcover with illustrated brown paper wraps. With a strong, sturdy saddle-stapled binding. Three hole-punched down the volume next to the spine. 32 pages. A clean, unmarked volume in very good condition. With beautiful photographs, illustrations, correspondence facsimiles, and diagrams throughout. The book has some minor wear due to use. The corners and edges of the book are lightly bumped, as are the crown/foot of the spine. The bottom right corner of the front cover is creased. With some wear from rubbing down the paper of the spine. Page 11/12 is creased across the bottom free corner. Includes seven loose facsimiles of letters from satisfied customers, each also hole-punched and printed on thin translucent paper. The letters are original to the volume but were never, I believe, bound in. They are from Herbert Farrell of Farrell-Cheek Steel Foundry Co., the Lonergan Brothers, Brink & Pilat General Commission Merchants, Miss Alice M. Knutson of St. Paul Minnesota, the Cut Stone Contractor Eric E. Skoglund, J.W. Black of Brownell Improvement Co., and Emil Magnuson. Bookseller Inventory # Fred-Trade28
