Synopsis: Malvern Hill, Run Up To Gettysburg is a history of the American Civil War, the battles, and the men who fought them. The book is distinguished by its effort to give equal attention to some of the lesser-known battles and unfamiliar actors, as well as some of the less publicized events that occurred off the battlefield. The book takes a critical look at the leaders on both sides and their decisions on the battlefield and the impact of those decisions on the lives of their men and the progress of war itself.

About the Author: Nicholas J. Santoro lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife. His previous works on American History include Atlas of Slavery and Civil Right; Pivotal Events that Shaped a Nation 1789-2000; America in the 1930s: The Building Years; and Atlas of the Indian Tribes of North America and The Clash of Cultures, in addition to a monograph, The Bent Brothers of Missouri. He is also the author of Mary in Our Life and Bank Operations Management.
