Binding is generally clean with minor rubbing to the extremities and slight fading to the spine. Interior pages are clean. Remnants of the dust jacket (the front wrap) are loosely inserted inside the rear cover. Frazerís preface states: "In this volume are collected some of the more general conclusions to which my studies of early society and religion led me in the past years The volume has been compiled under my direction by my friend Pierre Sayn " The work is divided into four parts Ė "the study of man", "man in society", "man and the supernatural", "man and immortality."
