About this Item

First printing of the first American edition. Very good in very good DJ. Black boards with a striking golden gun foil stamped from the back board, across the spine, and ending on the front board. Corners are square, not bumped, with a small amount of shelf wear to the edges of the boards. Ffep has glue residue, probably from removal of previous owner's bookplate. Yellow stain to the top of the text block. Pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is not price clipped. It sports the distinctive six "bullet hole" cutouts has some creases and some edge wear. There is a 1/2 inch closed tear on the top of the back panel. Dust jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. This is not the book club edition and is not an ex-library book.
