The photograph by Gabriel Moulin of Millet's famous picture which ispired the Markham's poem was to accompnay the book. The photograph is tipped into a decorative folder with text on the front panel within a floral border in blue, ruled in gilt and printed by John Henry Nash. As the folder for trhe photograph is a bit larger than the book itself it could not be laind in. Consequently, it often got separated from the parent volume and lost over time, hence its scarcity today. Of the original 300 copies, 200 copies were sent free to members. Of the remaining 100 copies, 75 were offered for sale and the balance of 25 were reserved for new members. A very tine closed edge tear to bottom edge of folder otherwise fine with original tissue guard for photograph. Bookseller Inventory #
