About this Item

First edition in blue cloth boards with spine stamped in gilt. Jacket design by Mel Hunter. About 3500 copies printed. Near Fine copy - flawed only by very narrow sun fading at top and bottom edges and spine lettering faded into spine of book, else, bright boards and shiny gilt, with tight binding, unmarked interior and white pages. Comes with 2 jackets and the rare paper marketing band with quote from E. E. Doc Smith. The fist jacket is in VG with tiny corner chips and spine end bruising, the second jacket in Fine with bright colors. The paper band has some darkening to the white paper, but otherwise is fantastic with no chips, tears or creases. A superb copy. Bookseller Inventory # 100466
