First US edition, first printing. No author is given credit credit for the book but, stated at the bottom of the copyright page, is the information: "Planned, Designed, and Prepared under the direction of Brearley Service Organization New York" and there is "An Appreciation" by James J. Walker, (then) Mayor of New York. A near fine book with some dulling to the gilt on the front cover and spine and very mild offsetting to the front end page, in a bright, fine dustjacket in colorful white, orange, blue and black (only the blue of the spine is mildly faded). The jacket has very light wear (rubbing) to the spine tips but no chips, tears or creases. Scarce in this condition. Bookseller Inventory # NF728
