About this title

A unique children's book which poses the question: "What was the first word man spoke?". The narrative takes Telford (a lexicographer) and his bird butler Earnest to Morocco to discover "mans' first word." Part picture book...part chapter book a glorious tale that bridges the two.

About the Author:

Lynn Kearcher was born and raised in Sharon, Connecticut and attended schools in San Francisco, London and New York. She worked for several years in magazine publishing as an editor and copywriter. This is her third children's book. Carl Chaiet was born and educated in Manhattan. He taught art for thirty years in New York state, all the while pursuing his own art. Although he worked in a variety of media he prefers the beauty and depth of ink and water. This is the third children's book depicting the characters Telford and Earnest.
