The original color lithographs were published in 1948, together with the relevant pen-and-ink drawings by Pantheon Books in New York, in an edition of 111 copies entitled "Four Tales from the Arabian Nights." Copies 1-90 contained 12 lithographs, a deluxe edition of 10 copies (numbered I-X) each contained an additional lithograph, and a further 11 copies were numbered "A-K hors commerce." The stories are in the translation of Sir Richard Francis Burton, published in 1906. . The volume, the unclipped dust jacket, and the slipcase are in perfect, pristine condition; immaculate, unread, unmarked, tight, square, and clean.
