Philadelphia, 1854. 8vo, 287 pp, quarter polished calf over marbled paper. Second American edition, published two years after the 1852 first edition. A very scarce early title on slavery. A good copy in a contemporary binding. Some wear and chips to binding, some foxing and tanning to pages, front hinge starting but still quite sound, bookplate residue to front endpaper. A good copy overall, attractive and usable. Bookseller Inventory # 11651
