Hardcover, red cloth, rough-cut (deckle edges) on lower page edges and fore-edges, top edge gilt. Covers are soiled, tips of corners lightly bumped and worn. Rear hinge (inside) in each volume is cracked, but covers still attached. Endpapers tanned, but interior pages are clean and white. There are several pages with tears at the lower edge due to careless opening of the lower page edges. Some of the pages are still unopened. A serviceable reading copy.
