Book itself is very clean with bright yellow cloth boards. Jacket is completely intact including original price, but does show tiny edge tears, sunning to spine which turned it blue, and chip to top front edge and another to lower front corner (see photo). Looks very handsome in brand new mylasr cover. Book measures 8-1/2"x11" and has 188 pages including index. Printed on quality coated paper and is profusely illustrated with black and white photographs and detailed drawings. Chapters cover museums and furniture collections of Europe; Scandinavian peasant and urban furniture; Gothic and Renaissance design; the three great kings Louis XIV, XV, XVI; the Empire period and ormolu; laquer-marquetry, The Golden Age of English furniture; and European antiques and the modern home.
