Nancy Blachman, the founder of Variable Symbols, Inc., is coauthor (with Cameron Smith) of The Mathematica Graphics Guidebook (Addison-Wesley, 1995) and author of Mathematica Quick Reference, Version 2 (Addison-Wesley, 1992). She provides both individual and group training in the use of Mathematica, and teaches Mathematica classes at Stanford University. She is a prolific author of books, help software, and articles on Mathematica, and is well-known throughout the Mathematica community.
