Hardcover. 77p., illustrated with numerous period and contemporary photos, text on each page enclosed in rubricated panels, quarto (11x8.5 inch) hardbound in burnt orange cloth and publisher's original plain white dust jacket. Item is mildly bowed, owing to careless storage, and an inconspicuous bump to head, otherwise sound and perfectly clean. Polk was responsible for some of the strangest of San Francisco's victorians and a good many public buildings, many of which were destroyed in the '06 earthquake.
