Very handsome and clean art catalogue published to accompany an exhibit held Janury 15-March 18, 1953 at the Los Angeles County Museum. 144 items are meticulously described by Grancsay who then was Curator of Arms and Armour for the Metropolitan Museum. He is also the author of American Engraved Powder Horns; A Study Based on the J.H. Grenville Gilbert Collection. Crisp black and white photographs of the items are at the back of book and include suits of armor, blades, firearms, crossbows, powder flasks and more. Meaures 7-1/2"x10".
