Book is entirely bound in leather with shiny bright gilt on all three sides of edges. Spine has four raised bands and is decorated with gilt, as is front board. Acoss from the title page is a bookplate provided to the physican who bought the book and upon which is the book number (16087). Inside is a booklet which is as pristine as the book itself. It was originally published from the Johns Hopkins Hospital Bulletin, Vol. XVIII, 1907, pages 45-51. The booklet measures 4-1/4" x 7-1/2" with 23 pages. Chapter include these: Homeopathy and It's Kindred Delusions; the Contagiousness of Puerperal Fever; Currents and Counter Currents in Medical Science; Border Lines of Knowledge in Some Provinces of Science; Scholastic and Bedside Teaching; The Medical Profession in Massachusetts; The Young Practiioner; Medical Libraries; and Some of My Early Teachers.
