Wrappers, 26cm., 136 pages. Scarce first printing in French in the series Bibliotheque de la Societe Francaise de Philosophie. Based on two famous two-hour lectures Husserl gave at the Sorbonne in 1929 the text was expanded and published in 1931 in a French translation by Gabrielle Peiffer and Emmanuel Levinas. The Cartesian Meditations were never published in German during Husserl's lifetime. Good condition with some repair to spine and rear cover partially attached. Covered in glassine with a mylar cover.
