Title: The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova de Seingalt.
Publisher: Aventuros, N.p.
Publication Date: 1925
Complete 12-volume set. Translation by Arthur Machen. Introduction by Arthur Symons. Illustrations by Rockwell Kent. Small 4to. Black cloth with gilt spine lettering and decorations. Top edges gilt. Various paginations. Tissue-guarded frontispieces, pictorial endpapers. Very good. Occasional inoffensive rub and scuff, though internally all volumes rate near fine to fine. Handsome, tight full set of this lovely production of the autobiography of the 18th century Italian adventurer who wouldn't be remembered at all but for the massive work he composed while a librarian later in life recounting his European travels and affairs. This edition limited to 1000 copies (this #386), the first 150 in half morocco and the remainder on imported English cloth. Kent's frontispiece engravings are delightful and the set as a whole a pleasure to behold. Bookseller Inventory # 39776
