Publisher's advertisements on four unpaginated pages following text. Second edition. Former owner's name on front free endpaper: "Rosanna Stewarts Octr. 14th 1843." The author, Susan Mansfield Huntington (1791-1823), was the daughter and wife of ministers and in her short life was active in biblical and female societies. The memoir contains her many letters of spiritual advice to friends and relatives. In Very Good- Condition: edges are rubbed and bumped; leather apparently has been treated with a preservative; chipping to two edges of spine label without loss of text; foxing; pages are otherwise clean and tight.
