Vol. II: vi+476p., plus 2-page list of the Edgeworths' works. 2 portrait plates and 5 plates (2 folding) at rear of volume, 'facsimiles from the sketches alluded to Chap. XIV'. Offsetting from most of the plates to the pages opposite, foxing to first few and last few pages in each volume. Bookplate of John Waldie on the front pastedown of each volume, together with a small blue sticker suggestive of a private library catalogue number. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Bound in full leather with blind-stamped decoration and gilt surround to all boards, four raised bands to spines with gilt lettering and decoration. Wear to head of spine of vol. 2, with start of a split between top inch of upper board and spine. Rubbing to sides of spines and corners of boards. A heavy set which may incur extra postage.
