52pp, a memorial published upon the death of Caldwell Hart Colt, the son of Colonel Samuel Colt. Illustrated with photos and etchings. Caldwell Colt was a noted yachtsman, who drowned under mysterious circumstances on January 21, 1894 in Punta Gorda, Flordia. This privately published memorial was done by his mother, the widow of Colonel Samuel Colt. Extreamly scarce, this was meant for only family and close friends. Covers have discoloration and/or soiling. The tissue-like page that fronts the title page has insect nibbling to lower right corner; page 3/4 has similar damage in lower corner; light insect nibbling to edges of several other text pages. Several pages have darkened areas from the type of paper used for the photographs. Page 43 has darkened margins from some type of exposure. The work is complete and is tightly bound.
