About this Item

Full color pictorial wraps with photo of young woman and black titles. Book is about near fine except for a tiny ding on the top front edge and a small indentation on the back. Spine is neither creased nor cracked. Interior has light toning as is true with most early Holloway House books. This is typical of early Holloway House forays into sleaze; it is a little higher class than other sleaze publishers and it purports to be based on real events. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 297 pages; First edition of famous 60's work by black author. Book begins as a study of the word "nigger, " seeking to de-mystify the term but becomes a free-form exploration of the power of language and culture. Important work published as a paperback original by Holloway House, #HH150. Not in Blockson. SOLD website 10.9.11. Bookseller Inventory # 14604
