This is a smart little copy of William Shakespeare's 'The Merchant of Venice' along with 'The Adventures of Giannetto' in this one volume. The boards are smart, marbled brown, red and cream with red cloth spine. Spine bears gilt titles. Contents are lightly age toned with gentle ageing to rear of covers at hinge otherwise clean and unmarked. Shakespeare's 'The Merchant of Venice' is a play about a merchant who comes up against the moneylender Shylock after having acted as a guarantor to a loan only for Portia to save the day.
