Message from the President of the United States, transmitting a report of the Secretary of the Treasury, made in obedience to a resolution of the House of Representatives of the 29th ultimo, requesting a statement of the cases in which counsel has been employed to assist the attorney general, prosecuting causes in the supreme court of the United States in behalf of the United States; the amount of property in dispute in each case; the names of the counsel so employed; the period of employing them; and the compensation granted in each case. March 23d, 1816, read and ordered to lie on the table.
