About this title

A collection of Chassidic essays exploring the profundity and holiness of the Jewish year, collected and translated from the writings of the Biala Rebbe shlita, a prominent contemporary Chassidic leader. Includes hundreds of primary sources in Hebrew and English, from a wide range of Talmudic, Midrashic and Chassidic sources. The seventh volume in the Mevaser Tov series by the Biala Rebbe.

About the Author:

After surviving the Holocaust as a young child, the Biala Rebbe studied in the Ponevezhe Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, under the tutelage and guidance of the Ponevezher Rav zt"l. After his marriage, he studied in the Gateshead Kolel until he accepted a Rabbinic position in Lugano, Switzerland, which he held for thirty-two years. With the passing of his father, the Chelkas Yehoshua, in 5742 (1982) he assumed the leadership of the Biala community in Eretz Yisrael and began dividing his time between Lugano and Jerusalem. He recently retired from his position in Lugano and now resides in Israel.
