Lower rear corner of text block bumped ; Interesting account of a trip taken by publishers of the San Diego Union Tribune, Helen and Jim Copley, with a group of friends, to Europe in May and June of 1973 where James Copley was awarded the City of Paris Gold Medal. The group traveled aboard the Copley Newspapers JetStar "Happy Days" to London and Paris with many stops along the way. Group photos interspersed with lively accounts of the activities of this group. Also included are comments and reports of support given by the Copleys to President Nixon and his wife, Pat, during the Watergate troubles. James Copley died in October of 1973 after a long battle with cancer. The author, a Copley Newspaper columnist, wrote the text based on journals kept by many of the travelers, and it was edited by Copley prior to his death. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall.
