Elegant royal blue cloth boards with gilt embossed titles (upper board and spine). Tight binding. Condition (external): very sound for a book published over a century ago. Slight edgewear. Minor fraying at the head and tail of the spine. There is an Author's Note, dated 1919. Appealing title page printed pale red/orange and black with a ship s anchor (red/orange coloured) under the author's name (image). Condition (internal): mild tanning throughout - slightly more apparent on the book's preliminary and final pages; where there is some mild foxing. pp. x,194/8vo.
