Second volume of Miscellany Poems (Mr. Pope's Miscellany according to the half-title page) written by 'several hands.' The latter, listed in an index at the rear of the book, include: Dr. King, Mr Betterton, Mr Gay. Mr Dryden, Mr Pit, Mr Fenton and Dr. Thomas Parnel. There is also an index of contributors to vol. I; as well as a list of Bernard Lintot's other publications (12 pages). Elegantly tooled and patterned calf boards with raised bands along the spine. The leather is a little chipped and frayed in places, especially along the board/spine joints, but not exceptionally so for a book nearly three centuries old. Internally, the pages are tanned with occasional spotting. Very tight binding - making taking of images, (other than of the preliminary and final pages), limited/inadvisable. pp. 287 (paginated) plus the two indices and publication list/18mo (+/-).
