Fifth reprinting of the Florin Edition, which came after a dozen printings of the Jonathan Cape first edition, in 1930. Signed by the author on the title page, under her byline: "E. H. Young." An informative gift inscription on the front endpaper by a former owner: "To May / On July 29 we were invited to the Forum Club to meet Miss Young, the charming author of 'Miss Mole.' 'Tis a poorly written autograph [actually it's quite clear and legible; Florence would be rolling over in her grave to see the sigs of Robert Parker or James Ellroy] that she placed on the title page but I'm sure you will enjoy Hannah-- / Florence / London, 1937." Bound in oatmeal cloth-covered boards with brown lettering on the front board and spine. Book is tight and unmarked; spine slant; soiling to page edges; no dust jacket. Mylar protected.
