About this title

From Library Journal:

Though activist Berrigan spent four months in South America as religious advisor on this big-budget film about the destruction in the 18th century of Jesuit-established utopias, his remarks offer little coherent commentary on its production. Rather, the experience serves as the basis for intermittent, often vague, and cryptic meditations about matters that worry him, such as the suffering of the Third World and whether any film can ever convey religious thought. Had these substantial concerns been developed in more detail, this journal would have gained an insightful focus instead of remaining the boringly self-indulgent jotting that it is.
